Abstract

In recent years, Blockchain systems have witnessed significant growth and adoption. These distributed ledgers enable the management of global states for parties with limited trust among them. Consensus is reached on the status, principles, and historical records within these systems. As the technology landscape rapidly expands, it becomes crucial to comprehend the capabilities of key technologies, particularly in terms of data processing. This study introduces a novel benchmarking approach, called blockchain benchmarking, aimed at evaluating the data processing capabilities of privately owned blockchains. By employing this method, the authors aim to enhance the understanding of how modified blockchain technology can contribute to efficient data processing in the realm of big data.
