Dr. Tausif Mistry

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to analyze the effect of financial inclusion and digitization on retail banking sales. Previously, Financial inclusion was seen from a perspective of social welfare and the regulatory body has been successful in implementing various programs and strategies for the same. For the private sector compliance was a major point of view for financial inclusion. This paper suggests that it could be seen from a market building approach for the private sector banks. Digital Transformation is far beyond just moving from traditional banking to a digital world. It is a vital change in how banks and other financial institutions learn about, interact with and satisfy customers. An efficacious Digital Transformation begins with an understanding of digital customer behavior, preferences, choices, likes, dislikes, stated as well as unstated needs, aspirations etc.. And this transformation leads to the major changes in the organizations, from product-centric to customer-centric view. This paper quantitatively shows how the digitization has been affecting the sales of banking sector from the point of view of sales representatives.
